Your day in Madrid should include a visit to the Golden Triangle of Art, the three most important museums of the capital: Prado Museum, Reina Sofia Museum and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. If you have to choose, go to Prado if you like classical or to Reina Sofia if you prefer contemporary. After that, you can go to Barrio de las Letras (the Literary Quarter) and eat or drink something in one of the many bars of Huertas Street or Santa Ana Square. Carry on your visit by going to Puerta del Sol and after to Gran Vía, the main commercial street in the city. In the evening, you can go up Fuencarral street to the neighbourhoods of Malasaña and Chueca, which contain plenty of life and lots of bars to have some drinks and keep the night going until very late in a more alternative atmosphere.

TRIP  Madrid (Estacion Sur) - Granada

An evening in Granada offers you a variety of options. The most romantic choice is to walk around the Albayzín neighbourhood, wandering through the small alleys and the whitewashed houses until sunset, when you should head to the San Nicolás lookout where you can admire how the evening colours melt against the Alhambra. If you would prefer a more active alternative, there are plenty of bars in the city where you can enjoy the nightlife and the tapas, in neighbourhoods like Realejo, Navas Street, around the bullring or the banks of the Genil river.

One must-see attraction during your stay in Granada is also one of the most emblematic monuments in Spain: The Alhambra. You can spend a morning or evening on it, and it's recommended that you plan in advance because the daily entrance is limited and tickets run out quickly. The city centre, with the cathedral and the Royal Chapel, is another essential area to see. Also, go to the Albayzín neighbourhood and visit Sacromonte, or relax in some of the Arab baths, like El Bañuelo, from the 11th century. To finish your day, you must try Granada's bars, tapas and nightlife.

TRIP  Granada - Cordoba

The most important area in Córdoba is the city centre. A walk around the Judería is essential, with its charming houses and small alleys such as Flores Street or Hoguera Street. Cross the many squares, like Plaza del Potro and Plaza de Capuchinos, and experience the entire city centre. Another must is the Córdoba Mosque, the most famous monument in the city. At sunset go down to the Guadalquivir river and delight in the evening colours over the Roman Bridge. Take the opportunity to taste the tapas and typical local dishes like salmorejo and flamenquines.

 Córdoba & Madrid
If you wake up early then you can visit the magnificent Córdoba Mosque for free (between 8:30 and 9:30, except Sundays). Additional famous attractions include the famous Patios de Córdoba, also free during the Patios Festival in May. For the rest of the year you can organise a guided tour or visit the 12 patios hidden in the Palacio de Viana, known as the patios museum.

TRIP  Cordoba - Madrid (Estacion Sur)

Walking around the area known as Madrid de los Austrias including the Plaza Mayor, San Miguel Market and Arenal Street is a superb way to spend an evening. Walk through the small streets of Madrid's city centre and delight in its charm. For the sunset go to Plaza de Oriente, where the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral are located. The sun's rays give all this area a distinctive orange colour. Finish the day having some tapas and beers in the trendy La Latina quarter, where certain clubs are often open until dawn.
