You could also visit El Borne and the marina, or wander around Raval, the most cosmopolitan neighbourhood with a broad range of cultural attractions and bars. And of course, you must go to the gem of Barcelona: Sagrada Familia, Gaudí's masterpiece. If you still have time, also go to Güell Park, another work by the famous Spanish architect. At night, you can enjoy the city's atmosphere by soaking up the atmosphere at one of the many well-known nightlife areas.

With a full day to spend in Valencia, you should visit the City of Arts and Sciences, the most important modern tourist destination in the city and one of the most impressive pieces of architecture in Europe. It has several attractive buildings including the biggest aquarium in Europe and an interactive science museum. Walking in the city centre is also a must, with a visit to the Carmen neighbourhood and to the two imposing towers (Torres de Quart and Torres de Serranos) that flank the entrance to the old city. Also visit the cathedral or the Lonja de la Seda (Silk Exchange). If you want to party, Valencian nightlife won't disappoint. Drink something in the city centre or make your way to the Ruzafa neighbourhood, which also has plenty of bars.

You could spend your day in Alicante walking around the marina or the Explanada (promenade). A visit to the city centre is also a must do and won't take you long. Another big attraction is to climb the Benacantil hill to the Alicante fortress: Santa Bárbara Castle. From atop the castle, you have lovely panoramic views of the city and surrounding area. If you'd prefer a wide, quiet beach, then take the tram or bus to the nearby San Juan beach, almost 3 km of the best sand in the city. If you feel like going a little further, take the 50-minute ferry ride to Tabarca island. The island is a marine reserve, so grab your snorkel and enjoy the crystal waters.
