Begin your holiday! Try to get to Madrid as early as possible and make the most of your visit to this incredible city.

Walking around the area known as Madrid de los Austrias including the Plaza Mayor, San Miguel Market and Arenal Street is a superb way to spend an evening. Walk through the small streets of Madrid's city centre and delight in its charm. For the sunset go to Plaza de Oriente, where the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral are located. The sun's rays give all this area a distinctive orange colour. Finish the day having some tapas and beers in the trendy La Latina quarter, where certain clubs are often open until dawn.

TRIP  Madrid (Moncloa) - Segovia

Today you will visit Segovia, one hour away from Madrid by bus. As soon as you arrive in Segovia you will spot the jewel of the city: a massive Roman Aqueduct that stands up with double arches in its more remarkable section in the Azoguejo Square. It's the best example of Roman civil architecture in Spain. Your first stop should be the Jewish Quarter, exploring its narrow streets and old houses and monuments. After that, visit the other big attraction of the city: The Alcázar. This fortress, full of spires, looks like something from a fairy tale. It is a beautiful structure to visit and from the top of the Juan II Tower, you have exceptional views over the city. You can complete the day going for some tapas and drinks to Infanta Isabel Street, where most of the bars are. In the evening, you will return to the capital and experience one of the lively Madrilenian nights by going out for dinner and a party.

TRIP  Segovia - Madrid (Moncloa)

Sadly, the last day of your trip is here. Leave Madrid as late as possible and enjoy the city for longer.

During the morning in Madrid, you could visit the Retiro Park, the biggest green area in the city centre. As you make your way towards the park you will go through the famous Plaza de Cibeles, the magnificent Correos building (now the City Hall) and the Puerta de Alcalá (Alcalá Gate), next to the park entrance.
